Brand/Supplier Content
Use Brand/Supplier Content to highlight information about your products based on their defined Brand or Supplier. This feature is a great SEO tool.
You must be a SuperAdmin or an Admin with the Content Area role to access this feature.
Select the brand or supplier you want to edit

This list is automatically generated based on Supplier IDs and data from the BrandName user defined field of your web-enabled items. The names will reflect any entries made in the Supplier Name Override feature. You can use the filter box to narrow down the list and find a particular brand or supplier. Just click a name in the brand or supplier list to edit the content for that page.
Page links

- When selecting a name from the list, you will see a link to the Brand or Supplier Page (www.yourDomain.com/brandsupplier/[BrandOrSupplierName]). This link is generated automatically by the website, and links to a page with a list of web-enabled items based on the BrandOrSupplierName field. The BrandOrSupplierName field is generated by the system using the BrandName user defined field if the item has it and falling back to Supplier if it doesn’t. You can copy and paste this link to give your users access to the page.
- We recommend using the Brand or Supplier link to provide to your users, but if you have a specific need for a page that uses only BrandName or only Supplier, you can click the Special Links button.
The links you will see under Special Links are:
- Brand Page Link (www.yourDomain.com/brand/[BrandName]): This links to a page with a list of web-enabled items based on the BrandName user defined field.
- Supplier Page Link (www.yourDomain.com/vendor/[Supplier]): This links to a page with a list of web-enabled items based on the primary supplier.
Meta Info
- Google SERP Preview tool shows you an approximation of a Google search result entry for the selected page. This is only a basic approximation, but it provides you with an idea of how much of your title and meta description will be shown in search results.
- Select which pages you want your content to show on: Brand (and Brand or Supplier) or Supplier (and Brand or Supplier).
- Set your Page Title, Page Headline, and Meta Description for the selected brand/supplier page. The character counts next to each field will give you an idea of best SEO practices for the given entry.
- The Page Keywords tool can help you ensure that you have the right keywords in the meta information and content of your category header, so that people can find your content when they're browsing the web. Just type in a keyword for which you want to optimize the content of the Category Header content and hit enter to see if and where you have it in the Category Header. You will even be given suggestions for other words that you might want to add to your page, based on actual data from the Google API, about other keywords people search for when they search for the keyword you entered. For a more detailed explanation of how this works, see our article Using the Page Keyword Feature.
Edit the Brand/Supplier Content
Select the Brand/Supplier you want to edit.
- The default brand/supplier page editor is the new Content Builder editor with drag and drop snippets, but you can switch between the editing modes. The other is the Code Editor where you can edit the HTML code of your content.
- This is where the brand/supplier content will go. The toolbar has a variety of text formatting tools to edit your content with.
- Drag and drop a variety of content snippets to easily add content. Working with the content for brand/supplier pages works much the same way as building pages in the Content Builder. Though a few things are different between the two, there is a lot of valuable information on working with snippets in our 'Creating and Managing WebAlliance Content Pages' manual that will also apply here. Keep in mind that including a lot of multimedia content (videos, images, iFrames) here will slow down page loading times. Refrain from including external scripts in Brand/Supplier Content, for more information, see this article from our Content Creation manual.
Note that this section is very similar to the editor for Category Headers.
Page Display Items and Order
You can determine how you want your Brand/Supplier Content to be arranged. Be aware, this is a beta feature, so if you make changes, make sure to view your content to ensure it looks the way you expect it to. Brand/Supplier Content defaults to showing the Content and the Item List in that order. However, you have the ability to add in Categories and re-arrange the order of the sections you choose to display on the page.
- Content: This is the content you have added to your brand/supplier page such as text, images, etc.
- Item List: This is the list of items available for the brand/supplier.
- Categories: This will display the categories that the items for the brand/supplier are contained in.
- Save any changes you make to what sections to display, or changes in the order of the sections.
The sections in the left column are what will display on the brand/supplier page. Simply drag the sections between the right and left columns to determine the sections you want to show. You can also click the '+' or 'x' next to the section to either remove or add it to what will display.
Drag the sections in to the order you want them to display in the left column. You can arrange them any way you want. For example if you wanted to show your content for the page, then the categories, then the items themselves, you would arrange the sections like this:
And this is what the result would be:
- Your content.
- The categories that contain the items for the brand/supplier.
- The items themselves.
Making Brand/Supplier Content Searchable
To ensure your users see your Brand/Supplier Content, you might choose to make it searchable. To do so, navigate to your Site Settings via your Admin Homepage. Open the Search settings from the Left Navigation bar and open the Searchable Pages configurator. Once you ensure that Brand/Supplier Pages are checked, your users will begin to see your Brand/Supplier content in their Search Previews and Search Results.

For example, if a user searches for "test123" and that text is contained in a Brand\Supplier Page, a link to that page will display at the bottom of the search results.
We have added a new snippet to the Content Builder that will create a navigation list for all of your current Brand/Supplier pages. These links will display in groups based on the starting letter of the page's name. You can see how to configure that in the Brand\Supplier Snippet article.
