Site Navigation
Use this feature to add, edit, or remove navigation options.
You must be a SuperAdmin or an Admin with the Content Area role to access this feature.
Choose Site Navigation from Admin --> Content --> Site Navigation
The interface
- This list generates automatically based on your existing Site Navigation structure. To edit an existing record, click the link name in this list.
- Edit the Link Name, the URL of the link, the Parent ID (Top Navigation heading) and enter a description (Descriptions don't appear on the site, but they are good for your reference). Choose whether to display the site navigation item using the checkbox.
Why would I add an item and not show it?
When you add an item into the navigation and don't set it to be displayed, it helps the system "find its place" for the left-navigation that is to be shown. For instance, maybe you don't want to link "FAQ" from the top-navigation, but when the user is on the "FAQ" page, you want them to see the left-navigation options from the "Support" section. This is accomplished by adding a navigation item for "FAQ" to the "Support" section, but not showing it. When the system tries to find its place, it will see that "FAQ" is listed under the "Support" section of Site Navigation and it will display the left-navigation for "Support" pages, even though the "FAQ" item itself will not be shown.
For best results, make each "Link Name" unique. Also, only link to a page one time in the Site Navigation tool. With repeated Link Names and multiple "homes" for a URL, you'll see some unexpected display and behavior on the WebAlliance website.
Custom HTML templates - ADVANCED
If you click on the 'Use Custom HTML as sub nav?' check box on a top level navigation link, you will have the option to load a custom template you've designed to style how that menu looks.
Note that this option is available only on top-level menu entries, and not for second-level menu entries.
Warning: Custom HTML Sub Nav menu feature is intended for advanced users only.

The Sub Nav Templates list will be generated from templates you have created in the SITENAV section of the Design Manager. If the template you link it to is published in Design Manager, it will immediately start displaying on the site. If there is no published version of the template you select, it will still show the original menu style.
