User Pre-Registrations
View all user pre-registrations on your site. These are users who have entered their name and email address, as the first step of the user signup process, but have not yet filled out the detailed signup form.
You must be a SuperAdmin or an Admin with the Users Area role to access this feature.
Select User Pre-Registrations from Admin Panel > Users > User Pre-Registrations
View the Report
View the list of users who have provided name and email addresses, along with the date and time that they provided that information.
What does this report tell me?
This report gains a new entry each time a user provides their Name and Email Address on the "Create an Account" page. Then, when the user completes the account signup, their entry on this report is removed.
So, the only entries on this report will be people who have taken the initial step of creating an account but haven't followed up on it. This report can, in effect, be considered your "lead list". You'll have the names and email addresses of people who volunteered that information to your website.
Keep in mind, some (or many) of the entries on this list could be nothing. Someone may have entered invalid information in the Account Creation page. Also, the email addresses listed here were provided with the follow up link to finish the account creation. It could be that they just decided against returning to the site.
You can even export this report as an Excel spreadsheet.
Will I get a notification when a user completes pre-registration?
Not through WebAlliance. At this point, nothing has actually happened other than someone entering a name and email address. You'll receive an email when that person fills out the actual registration form, which asks for the user's physical address, phone number, etc., and means that user has actually requested an account.
Pre-registration is an event that can be submitted to Segment or via WebHooks through the Automation Configuration option in WebAlliance. If you opt for that, you can make pre-registration act as a trigger for any number of events that occur in third-party services like MailChimp, HubSpot, and many more.
