Can you explain the differences between E-Commerce Pages and Marketing Pages?

Analyzing the differences between E-Commerce and Marketing pages.

E-commerce Pages

E-Commerce pages are classified as any page that contributes to the process of ordering products.  A general rule of thumb is that any page with an "Add to Cart" button can be considered an E-Commerce page, but so can the "Quick Order" page (pictured below), established "Favorites" pages, and checkout pages, as they exist to complete the order process.

E-Commerce pages exist to provide the customer with product and facilitate the process of selling your products to them.  Even signing in or activating an account can be considered a process towards completing orders, so they would also be classified as E-Commerce pages.

Marketing Pages

Marketing pages are site pages that help to promote your business or inform your customers about your services.  These pages act less as a method to sell products to your customers and more for assisting and educating your customers on your site.

Marketing pages are site pages that represent company information or allow a customer to email for support or to sign up for your mailing list.  Pages that explain brands or information on how different products function are all examples of Marketing pages.
