The Quote Request Page

For those who have the Quote Cart Optional Module, you will be able to edit the Quote Request by adding/removing items, clearing all items, and changing the Ship-To Address.  The Quote Request page can be accessed from the "Quote Request" link in the Account Tools section of the MyAccount page or by clicking "View Pending Quote Request" when you're building a request.

  1. Items on the Quote Request will show up in a list on the left side of the page. When adding an item, you can use a partial item number.  The system will provide a list of possible matches for you to select from.
  2. You can add items to the Quote Request that aren't available on the site.  However, when adding these items, you will be required to specify the item number and add a description.
  3. The "Add an Item" button will allow you to add items to the Quote Request.  When you are adding an item, you can either specify an item by its Part Number, search for an item using a partial number, or you can check "Non-Stock Item" and manually enter an item.
  4. Once you have all the items added to the Quote Request and have the Ship-To information filled out, you can click on the "Submit Quote Request" button to submit the request.

Submitted Quote Requests will be emailed to an email address of your choosing, and the email subject line is "User Quote Request".  The user who submits a quote will also receive an email letting them know that their Quote Request was successfully submitted.

Optionally, and depending on your ERP system, you might choose to import these quote requests into your ERP.  If you'd like to explore that option, please contact Aldrich Web Solutions.

If your system supports quote request imports into the ERP system, "non-stock" item requests will be represented on the import by a placeholder item ID, and item descriptions entered by the user will be noted on the line item itself.
