Order Shipment Notifications

WebAlliance allows you to send Shipment Notifications for orders made on the site. These notifications are sent to the email provided on the cart.

To enable Shipment Notifications, please contact Aldrich Web Solutions for configuration.

How To Configure

Once you have contacted us to enable this feature for your site, navigate to https://www.yoursitedomain.com/admin2/automation/index while logged in as an admin.

  1. You can "Disable" or "Enable" the Order Shipment Notifications by using this button.
  2. Using the "Delete" button will remove the Order Shipment Notification configuration.
  3. The "Edit" button will allow you to make changes to an already configured Order Shipment Notifications.
  1. The "Run Frequency" is how often (in minutes) the Automated Job checks for a new email to send out.
  2. The "Daily Start Time" is when the Automation will start checking for new emails to send out.
  3. The "Daily Stop Time" is when the Automation will stop checking for new emails to send out.
  4. The "Email From" field is the email address you'd like to send the notifications from (leaving this blank will use the site's default email sender).
  5. The "Override Email To" field will override who gets the email of shipment notifications if desired.
  6. The "Preview" button will display an example email.
  7. The "Edit Template" will take you to the Email Templates tool to make changes to the Order Shipment Notification email template.

There are 2 types of order shipment emails sent out, partial and complete. The complete is sent if all items ship at the same time and partial is sent if only some of the items on the invoice are marked as shipped.

Shipment notification will become Pickup notifications for Will Call orders, informing customers that their order is ready for pickup.
