Order and Quote Notification Receiver

 

When an order or quote request is placed on your website WebAlliance is able to send a notification email to an email address of your choosing. 

Quote Notifications

By default, quote email notifications will go to the New Quote Receiver email under your email settings.  If you want quote emails to use the same logic as your order notifications, you can toggle that functionality on with the "Allow Quote Notify To Use Order Notify" setting under Site Manager>Settings>Email Settings.

Prioritization of Email Notifications

There are three methods in which these notifications can be configured that include setting the Order Notify Email on the User Details, setting the Order Notify Email on the location, and finally setting the default setting called New Order Receiver or New Quote Receiver in the case of quotes.

The site will look for an email address in this order:

  1. If the Order Notify Email setting is configured on the User Details for a user, this email address will be used.
  2. If not, and there is an Order Notify Email configured on the user's Default Location, this email address will be used.
  3. Lastly, if neither of those settings is configured, the order notification will be sent to the email address in the New Order Receiver setting or New Quote Receiver setting for quotes.

User Details Order Notification Email

This next method is set on a per-user basis and can be configured from the User Details page.

View the desired user and go to the Company Info tab.  Click "Configure" in the Order Notify Emails Field.  You can set multiple email addresses for a user in this fashion by selecting the Add Value button

Location Order Notify Email

This method lets you send the order notifications of all users that have a certain Default Location to a particular email address.  For instance, each location may have a different sales rep that you want the notifications to go to.

You can configure this from Inventory\Pickup Locations from the Site Manager menu of the Admin home page.  Edit a location and configure the "Order Notify Email" field.  

New Order Receiver and New Quote Receiver

The last method is a catch-all that will be used when a user isn't configured with either of the other methods above. 

From the site settings, navigate to the Email category.  The settings are called "New Order Reciever" and "New Quote Reciever".
