Purchase Approvals - Requesting an approval
As a user, if you've exceeded your Spending Limit, you'll be prompted to request an approval. The approvers in the list were set up by a site Admin.
Checkout Screen

NOTE: If the user enters a PO during the checkout process, it will be presented to the approver as a "Suggested PO". When the approver makes a decision about the order, they'll enter the final PO number.
If you're over your spending limit, you'll be notified that you will be directed to submit the cart for approval at the end of the checkout process. Proceed through the checkout as usual, but click "Submit for Approval" rather than "Finish Checkout" at the end. The button will be in the same place.
Submitting your Request

After clicking "Submit for Approval", you'll be directed to a screen like this one. The available approvers here were set up by a website Admin. Select the order approver(s) you want to have control of your order, enter any comments, and click "Submit for Approval". The requested approvers will be notified by email that there is a pending approval waiting for them. Once the order has been decided by one of the approvers you selected, you will receive an email notification.
Viewing Pending Approvals
To view any pending approvals, visit the My Account section of the website. You'll see a box called "Pending Order Approvals" which displays the status of each open order that is pending approval. Clicking "View" gives you a detailed view of the order, and the option to cancel the request. Once the order is approved, you don't need to take any further action. The order will proceed as normal.
Reviewing Approvals
If the approval is declined by the approver, you will receive an email notification. You can then reopen the declined cart by accessing the "Approval History" link on the My Account page. There will be a list of orders that have been approved, are pending approval, or have been declined. Declined carts will include any comments the approver provided, and have the option to reopen the cart. The order can be corrected based on the approver's suggestions and submitted for approval again.
