How do I Change the Owner of an Order Template

 

When an Order Template is created, it is assigned to a specific owner.  If you need to change the owner of the template at a later date, it can be changed from the "Order Template Administrator" tool by a SuperAdmin or Admin with the Users Area role.

Changing the owner of the template also can change which users can view the template.  By default, Order Templates are assigned to the Customer ID of the template owner.  If the new owner has a different Customer ID than the previous owner, then the users associated with the default "All Users" permissions for the old Customer ID will no longer be able to view, edit, or delete the template.

Find the Order Template you want to change from the Order Template Administrator page and click the "Change Owner" button.

Enter the username of the new template owner and click "Submit".

If you want to make a copy of a template for another user, you can simply click the "Copy" button on the template and then use the "Change Owner" feature to assign it to a different user.
