New Item Review

 

If you have "Item Reviews" turned on and a user leaves a review, you will be sent a notification.

Notifications for new item reviews will be sent to an email address configured in Site Manager -> Settings -> Email Settings. If there is an email address in "Item Rating Notification Receiver" then that address will receive the notification. If it's empty then the "Default Order Receiver" will get the new item review notification.

The email will be sent from your site's "Default Sending Address".

The Notification

Users can enter a review when viewing an item on the site.  When they leave a review for an item, either the "Item Rating Notification Receiver" or the "Default Order Receiver" will receive the notification email.  The email gives you the item review information and a link to the "Item Reviews" admin.  From there, you can approve, un-approve and even delete item reviews  Approving a review will allow it to display for other users when they are viewing the item.

If the "Auto-Approve Reviews" option is enabled for your website, you will still get this notification.
