Inventory Display with Location Name

WebAlliance allows you a to leverage location names when displaying your inventory.  This article contains some examples scenarios.

If you include the Location Name in a specific Inventory Scenario in the Inventory Display Configurator, that placeholder will be replaced with relevant text, depending on the situation.

Location Name doesn't have to go in the Not in Stock message. There are not many scenarios where the location is important if the item is not in stock.

In Stock at User's Default Location

If you include Location Name, and you are displaying inventory only for the user's location, the user will see "...at [Location Name]" if the item is in stock at the user's Default Location.  In the example above the user's Default Location is "Main Office".

Out of Stock at User's Default Location but In Stock Elsewhere

If you include the Location Name, and the website displays inventory only for the user's Default Location, the user will see "...at Other Locations" if the item is out of stock at their Default Location.  If the display includes quantity, it will be a total of the quantity available at your other locations.

If you have the "Show Location Inventory Even If Zero Avail" setting toggled on (under Products > Inventory in the site settings), then you will receive the default "Not in Stock" message instead.

Global Inventory with Location Name Enabled

If your website's inventory display includes the Location Name and company-wide inventory, your users will see "...at Various Locations".  If the display includes quantity, that quantity will reflect the company-wide total.

The above examples include the quantity, but it isn't required if you want to show the location on the inventory line.  If your website doesn't display quantity, the user will see "In Stock at Main Office", "In Stock at Other Locations", etc.
