Order Templates
Order Templates are intended to be used by Admins with the Users or Orders role to create lists of items for users to place orders with.
Creating an Order Template
Admins can create an order template in 2 ways:
- Through the Order Template screen at www.yourDomain.com/ordertemplates. Simply click "New Template" in the top-right and manually add the items, setting the default order quantity. Then, from the Order Template Administrator screen, set the owner of the template. See more details in "How do I create or edit an Order Template?"
- Using "Import to Favorite" from the Admin screen, use an existing ERP Order or Quote to create an Order Template.
The maximum amount of items allowed on a template is 50. This is in place to prevent issues that can be caused by a large number of items in the cart being priced at once.
Viewing and Using an Order Template
Each user has access to a unique list of Order Templates. The path to view that list is at www.yourDomain.com/ordertemplates.
The user should select the template they'd like to use from the drop-down list. They'll see all the items on that template, the default order quantity (which the user can update for their order if they prefer), and their Customer ID's purchase history for each item. You also can Copy a template and Change the Owner of a template.
When the user has arrived at their desired quantity, they need to click "Add To Cart" to put all the items in their shopping cart at the requested quantity. If it's enabled, the user could also choose "Quick Checkout" to place the order directly from the Order Template.
