Convert Cart to Quote Cart
WebAlliance offers the ability to convert a cart to a quote cart. Enabling this feature will allow users (logged in and anonymous) to convert a shopping cart to a quote cart and complete the quote cart through the Cart/Checkout workflow.
Enabling Convert Cart to Quote
To enable this feature navigate to your site setting and go to Shopping > Cart > Quote Cart > Enable Cart To Quote Cart.
Converting a Cart to a Quote Cart
Once this feature is enabled, users can select a button at the top of the cart called "Convert To Quote".
Once a cart is converted to a quote cart:
- Converting is irreversible, so the cart will remain a quote cart until it's either finalized, saved, or cleared by the user. This means that all new item added to the cart will be added to the quote cart.
- Items will become unpriced unless the "Allow Pricing for Quote Cart Items" setting is enabled. (Please contact Aldrich Web Solutions if you wish to enable this setting).
- Items (including non web items if your site allows) can be added directly from the cart by selecting the "Add Quote Items" button at the top of the Quote Cart.
Cart features that are unavailable in the Quote Cart:
- Shipping Estimates
- Tax Estimates
- Discounts
- Fee Items
- File Attachments
