BrandOrSupplier Pages

 

WebAlliance offers automatically built collections of items based on the system generated BrandorSupplierName field (BrandName, if available, and Primary Supplier if not).

If you are a SuperAdmin or an Admin with the Content Area role, you can edit the headers for these pages in your website's Brand/Supplier Content tool.

BrandOrSupplier pages can be reached at www.yourDomain.com/brandsupplier/[BrandorSupplierName].

You can find a list of all available BrandOrSupplier pages using the Brand/Supplier Content tool at www.yourDomain.com/admin2/content/vendorheaders.

BrandOrSupplier listings are ordered by "Best Match" by default, and that sort order could change depending on the customer's purchase history, the stock status of the item results, and several other factors. If you'd like to specify the order of a list of items, use Item Lists.

NOTE: Keep item lists to around 25 items. When the content page loads, it has to fetch pricing for the items on the list. More than 25 or so can cause the page load to time out, resulting in no pricing for any of the items on the page. And, of course, if no pricing is available, the user can't add the item to their cart.

The layout of BrandOrSupplier pages is very similar to the layout of Category pages, except browsing filters created using the Attribute Manager or the PIM-Enterprise are available on Category pages only.

Deprecated pages based solely on Primary Supplier ID or BrandName are also available from the Brand/Supplier Content tool. However, those pages don't have access to all WebAlliance features. BrandOrSupplier pages are fully supported.
