Avalara Configuration

 

This is a brief overview of how to configure Avalara to run on your site. Avalara is a 3rd party tax system that can be used to estimate tax on the site.

The following settings will be found by going to your site's settings from the Admin panel and navigating to Credentials > Tax

  • Username - The username field will need to be your Avalara account number.
  • Password - This field will be your Avatax License Key.
  • URL - The URL needed for Avalara will be https://avatax.avalara.net/1.0/tax/get 
  • Tax Freight - Determines whether Avalara includes freight when determining a tax estimate. This is off by default.
