How Do I Enable Ship-Pricing for FedEx Parcel?

 

WebAlliance is capable of integrating with FedEx, which enables your website to show your customers shipping estimates based on the combined weight of the items.

Aldrich Web Solutions needs the following information from your FedEx account:

  • Account Number
  • Meter Number
  • Authentication Key
  • Production Password

Sign Up for a FedEx Web Services Account

Visit www.fedex.com and configure your account, if you don't already have one.

Use your FedEx Web Services Log In to Access the FedEx Developer Site

Log in and click the "Developer Resource Center" link.

Click "Move to Production"

Click "Get Production Key"

Complete "Application Profile"

The proper answers here are:

  • Do you intend to resell your software? - No
  • Check the "FedEx Web Services for Shipping..." box
  • Indicate whether you are developing your FedEx integration solution as a Corporate Developer or as a Consultant. - choose the proper answer for your role with your company.

Accept the License Agreement and Fill in the Required Company Information

NOTE: You'll need your company's FedEx billing contact information to complete the application.

When you're finished, you'll receive the new Authentication Key and Meter Number. The email address on file with your FedEx account will receive the Production Password.

Provide those values along with your FedEx Account Number to Aldrich Web Solutions to configure the integration.

Please note: If you choose to show FedEx shipping estimates on your website, be mindful that this precludes you from the ability to show shipping estimates from any other shipping company.
