How Do I Enable Ship-Pricing for FedEx Freight?
WebAlliance can provide FedEx Freight shipping estimates through the FedEx shipping API. This is not configured automatically with the FedEx parcel integration. Additional configuration and account information will be required to implement FedEx Freight on the website.
Shipping Methods Available
There are two freight shipping methods that can display shipping estimates through the FedEx Freight integration with WebAlliance:
- FedEx Freight Economy
- FedEx Freight Priority
Credentials
Aldrich Web Solutions will need the following information from your FedEx account:
- Account Number (Web Services\Small Package Account)
- Meter Number
- Authentication Key
- Production Password
- LTL Account Number (see below)
Generally, you will have unique account information for each of your inventory locations, so you will likely be required to provide a set of credentials for each location.
LTL Account Number
FedEx LTL Accounts can be enabled on existing accounts or created as a separate account. This means that the Account Number and LTL Account Number above can either be the same number, or a different number. If you don't already have your LTL Account Number(s), please contact your FedEx representative to determine the best course of action based on your circumstances.
