Meta Information on Content Pages
Each content page you create will ask for some "meta" information. These values are Page Title, Page Headline, Page Template, and Meta Description. So what are they?
Page Title

Page Title displays in the browser tab or window title bar. In Search Engine results, the Page Title value displays as the click-able link.
Page Headline
Page Headline (in WebAlliance) displays on "Left Nav" pages, above the content.
There are special considerations if your page is created as "Full Page Width". For more information, see "Page Headline on Full Page Width Pages".
Note - the Page Headline is not displayed in external Search Engine results.
Page Template

The Page Template selector allows you to choose the layout of your page. "Left Nav" displays the list of categories, recently viewed items, etc., on the left side of your content page. "Full Page Width" displays the page header and footer, but leaves you the full width of the page to create content. Other templates (such as Full Page - Container) might be available, depending on your website's design. Contact Aldrich Web Solutions with any questions.
Meta Description

Meta Descriptions don't actually appear on the page itself. They're used when search engines analyze your site, and they can be used as the "blurb" in your search engine results. Meta Description won't always be shown, but it is recommended to have a meta description for each page you create on your website.
