How do I Embed Content on a Content Page?

WebAlliance provides a great deal of flexibility when it comes to creating content for your website.  You can even embed certain types of external content on WebAlliance content pages.

It's a relatively easy process to embed content, but it does involve working in the Code Editor of the content page.

Getting Started

The first thing you will need to do is generate an "embed code" from the third-party source where the content you want to embed is located.   The embed code will contain the information that WebAlliance needs to load the embedded content on the page.  We'll use a HubSpot form as an example.  HubSpot has a useful guide on how to get an embed code for a HubSpot form you've created here.

HubSpot will provide you with a piece of code that looks something like this:

Create a Content Page

Now you will need to create a content page for your embedded HubSpot form to exist on.  You don't need a special type of content page for this, so create a page just like you normally would.  See our Page Builder article for tips on creating a content page.

Embedding Content With a Code Block

If you want to embed content on a page, you no longer need to use the Code Editor tool to add the code to your site. You need only to drag a Code Block snippet onto the page in question. Once the block is located where you would like it, you can select the blue button indicated above to open the editor. Paste your embed code into the window that appears and save your changes.

Please note that your embedded content will not display inside the Content Builder. You will need to publish the page in question to view the embedded content.
