If an item doesn't show a price for a user, that user can't add the item to the shopping cart, though an Admin can manually add it. That rule holds true in every case across your WebAlliance website. 

By default, an item won't display a price if Company Default Pricing is found in calculating the price of an item.

 However, you do have an option to make a price more likely to appear, by setting Pricing of Last Resort to something other than "Zero Price" (shows "Call for Pricing").
