Copy/Paste Attributes
The PIM allows users to copy attributes from one item and paste them onto another item. This is done from the Attributes tab in the PIM.
Attribute Tab
The Attribute tab can be found on the right side of the PIM when an item is selected.

- Attribute header
- Attribute names
- Attribute values
Copying Attributes
Copy Attributes - right click on the attribute or attribute header and select Copy Attributes (Ctrl + C)
- Copying on the header will select all attributes in that category by default
- Copying when an attribute is selected will select only that attribute by default
Pasting AttributesÂ
Paste Attributes - right click in the attribute tab of the item you would like to paste and select Paste Attributes (Ctrl + V)
- Will open a wizard allowing the you to select the attributes you want to paste. The PIM will auto select the attributes based on how they were copied.
- Pressing Ctrl + A with the wizard open will select all of the attributes
- Ctrl + Shift + V will paste the attributes without the wizard but with the auto selection applied.
Pasting Attributes from TextÂ
You can paste from a text file or excel table (txt tab delimited) - this is slightly different than pasting from copied attributes in the program.
- The ID of the category is not required.
- The cat id will be used if present, otherwise the name of the category must match exactly to be treated as a category when searching for best match on paste.
- Otherwise, The PIM will resort to searching for attributes based on their name. You may leave off the category name completely to paste attributes by name.
When pasting attributes, The PIM will first try to match on the category but if it cannot find an exact match it will match on attribute name. If no matches are found you will get a message saying no matching attributes found to paste.
